Is the Cougatti Just the Purtiest 2002 Mercury Cougar you ever did see?

Sure, most people would love to have a Bugatti Veyron; sadly, at over a million bucks a pop we're talking a vehicle that's slightly out of reach for most consumers. Thankfully, one man and eBay have rectified this issue with something we'll call a Cougatti (or Bougar).

Based on a 112,000-mile 2002 Mercury Cougar with a V6 and automatic transmission, this one-of-one Cougatti has a starting bid of $89,000 and no takers as of this writing. Potential buyers get all the body work, 20-inch wheels, angel eye HID headlights, LED tails, two gas caps (one functional), and power windows/mirrors.

No pics of the interior just yet, but the seller says it is "in progress" and "very close to being ready for upholstery".

Is this cross-bred creature a crime against humanity or a bargain basement show car? Leave your comments down below.

Bugatti Teasing New Model in Frankfurt Show Invitation Card?

Could the vehicle pictured in this scanned photo from an official Bugatti invitation to a special event at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September be depicting the firm's long-rumored four-door sports sedan? Well, the only thing we can be certain of is that it isn't the Veyron - or at least not the current generation model.

Internet rumors, which have not been confirmed in any way by Bugatti or the VW Group for that matter, say that it may be a close-to-production concept study for a new uber-luxurious sedan heavily based on the underpinnings of the forthcoming Bentley Arnage replacement known as the 'Grand Bentley'.

For the time being and until we discover something new, we'll just keep this in the 'Rumorville' department.

VIDEO: Salesperson Takes Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport for a Quick Spin

If you're looking for a salesman going "slideways" or 200mph on the highway with a $2 million supercar, then sorry to say, you'll be disappointed. This video of the topless Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport was created by Adrian Hill, client advisor at St. Louis Motorsports located in Missouri. Apparently Adrian has found a different way to pitch the dealership's products by creating a string of videos that are somewhat goofy, yet charming due to their simplicity and his personal down-to-earth attitude.

Can't say if this particular video actually reaches the right clientele, but watching it makes you feel no different than if you visited a pal of yours who works at a ritzy dealership and he took you for a quick spin in a uber-expensive supercar.

Bugatti Stratos: Retrotastic Concept Study by Bruno Delussu

Bugatti Stratos ConceptDesigned by Bruno Delussu from France, the Bugatti Stratos is retro-futuristic concept study that draws inspiration chiefly from the Bugatti Type 57 Atlantic which is considered by many as one of the most beautiful cars of all time. Bruno states that he also used some design cues from the Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Mille Miglia for the styling of the front end. To be completely frank, the first car that leaped into our mind upon seeing the Strato's fascia was the BMW-powered Weismann MF4 Roadster.

The French graphic designer said that his goal with the Bugatti Stratos was to create a pure fantasy vehicle clearly focusing on the design aspect of the concept without taking into account the technical restrictions and the resulting styling limitations of a model intended for production.

Bugatti EB 110

In its lifetime, only 95 models of the Bugatti EB 110 GT were ever made. First built in the early 90s, the EB 110 GT is now a treasured vehicle by collectors and aficionados alike. While some models have been sold by a number of famous owners, the EB 110 GT remains a rare bird in a flock of exotics.

The rare supercar is powered by a quad-turbocharged 3.5-liter V12 engine that produces 550 horsepower with a ‘north to 60’ time of 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 214 mph.

Finding one that’s being sold is hard enough on its own. But finding one that’s being sold and is in tip-top condition with little mileage on its odometer is an entirely different matter. That’s why we were caught by surprise when the last of the 95 EB 110 GTs found its way into the classifieds recently.

Specially built with a custom ordered Formula Black Metallic paint finish and a full tan leather interior with navy accents, this particular EB 100 GT is being sold in California by Canepa Design. Exclusivity and performance capabilities notwithstanding, what makes this EB 110 GT all the more attractive to any prospective buyer is that it remains in factory condition despite its age, having less than 1,000 miles – 939 to be exact – on its odometer.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport launched in India

It's one of the most worthwhile cars in the world and why not-with 1001 bhp pumping out of its 16 cylinder, quad-turbocharged engine, the Bugatti Veyron has been the fastest production car on the planet. Even after the SSC Ultimate Aero beat the original Veyron to claim the title, Bugatti then came up with the Veyron Super Sport-1200 bhp of power that decimated any of the competition.

The Veyron that will be sold in India through Exclusive Motors' showroom in New Delhi, is the 16.4 Grand Sport-yes, the same car that Vikram Gour drove in Italy a couple of weeks back. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Satya Bagla, Managing Director, Exclusive Motors said "We are pleased to launch Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport in India; the car is a modern statement of ultra luxury, speed and extraordinary style. We have introduced this car in the Indian market for the super premium luxury and sports car aficionados. We are thrilled with the launch of the Bugatti and are confident that the car will receive an overwhelming response from the customers of luxury. The model is a pure evidence of the brand's technological expertise.

  • No of Cylinders : 16
  • Cylinder Capacity : 7993 cm3
  • Power Output : 736KW (1001hp) at 6000 rpm
  • Max Torque : 1250nm from 2200-5500 rpm
  • Gearbox : 7 Gear DSG
  • Top Speed : 407km/h
  • Acceleration : 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds and 0 to 200 km/h in 7.3 seconds
  • Braking : 100 km/h to 0 in 2.3 seconds

Great news this as far as the Indian automotive enthusiast is concerned and before so many of you go on commenting about the lack of roads and space and infrastructure and what not in India to drive this car-who really cares! Because if you want one of these beauties in your garage you're going to have to shell out an awesome Rs 16 crore for the base version-optional equipment and add-ons will obviously cost extra!

Bugatti Sports Cars Type 12-2 Concept Car

Here is a Bugatti Concept Car – Bugatti Type 12-2. Racer X has lifted the covers on a new concept vehicle they are calling the Bugatti Type 12-2 concept car which is highlighted by ample storage space and new practical designs. Bugatti is a most famous sports car manufacture, so it is just about power, speed, luxury and everything, designed especially for those who love speed, comfort and style. Bugatti Type 12-2 concept has been created as a 2+2 sports GT for the Bugatti brand. it is not intended for production. Designed as an example of a luxurious four seater GT, the type 12-2 is the artwork of Reuben Zammit. The idea is to use a VW derived W12 engine with a twin turbo layout hence the name 12-2. Although not as extravagant as the W16 used in the Veyron, there would be enough power to propel the Type 12-2 to over 200 mph.

Every time it competed with 4 different demo cars in 2 different classes for bodystyling. On the subject of performance, things get considerably more hypothetical. This being purely a design study (and not even a Bugatti-commissioned one) any power-train speculation should be taken with more than a few grains of salt. Racer X's specified FR configuration seems to eliminate the Veyron's all-wheel drive, quad-turbo W-16 configuration. Meanwhile, the name "12-2" seems to hint at a 12-cylinder mill sleeping beneath the coupe's hood. Bugatti Sports Cars Type 12-2 Concept Car Pop over to Racer X Design for more images of the Type 12-2 Streamliner concept. While you're there, check out the rest of its portfolio, which features a few wild takes on Chrysler, BMW, and Alfa Romeo vehicles.
